The pistons are dished...but even with the dish the compression will work out to exactly 12 to 1. The pistons are .010 out of the hole.






I checked a few things out. Crank endplay was .003 which is fine. Everything else looked great.




I have highly skilled techs helping me ;-)

I'm suprised there isn't as much going on...anyhow very nice setup. Why did you go with dished pistons out the hole. Does it give a better burn with the nitrous?

couple different reasons for the dished piston. It was actually a semi custom piston from Diamond..so turn around time was only about 4 weeks instead of 8-12 for a fully custom piston. Second...all else being equal I have read some evidence that a dished design will net better results than a pure flat top due to better quench and flame travel. So if there is better quench there is better detonation resistance.
