PRC Stage 2.5 Heads P/V Clearance
I'm just trying to determine which cam I can go with that will not have P/V clearance issues with these heads. I originally wanted to go with a Futural F13, but I am also considering MTI's stealth cam II. I'd like to be over 400 for both HP and TQ, but I do not want to cut my pistons.

My heads are not being milled at all. They're the same 5.3L truck heads that TEA uses, CNCed and hand finished. Hey is 112+2 the best grind for the F13 or would it be better 112+4, which is the "off the shelf" spec. I'm not too hung up on peak power, I want a broad power and torque curve that I can feel.

The +4 is probably the one you want. The torque kicks in a little sooner than the +2 and the power peaks a little sooner. Probably will want the earlier torque for street use. Have you talked to Futural about how long will it take get one these? I am seriously thinking about swapping my TSP 225 for one since I have the heads off.

Yeah the main reason I like the F13 rather than the F14 is for its TQ curve. The F14 gives better peak HP, but not that much more.
I did not know there was a wait on these, but then again my heads won't be ready for at least another 2 weeks and I'm waiting on a few other parts too. Also need a 12-bolt so I'm in no rush. I'm hoping to have this done by the end of July at the latest...then time to race some bikes for $$$.

I'm not sure if there is a wait on the F13's right now or not. I do know they are recovering from a huge GP on those cams and with the popularity Futural has on this board and others, I would think they have trouble keeping them in stock. I might call them tomorrow to see. It's a shame, I live 15 miles from their shop and have never dealt with them. I'm about 5 miles from Thunder, but TSP seems to get all my business. I'm still debating whether it's worth switching from my TSP 225 or not. What cam are you upgrading from?

I have a TR 230/224 on 111 LSA. It's an OK cam, lopes a lot...probably would be good for turbo or SC. Man I can't believe I missed another GP on the F13 cams.
