His AC condenser may be clogged and not allowing enough air to pass through the radiator or the radiator itself might be clogged up from bugs, film, trash etc. One guy on here had overheating problems once only to find a wal mart plastic bag had covered his condenser not allowing air to flow through to the radiator.

The radiator had a wax like substance inside each of the radiator fins and that caused the overheating.
Soaked the radiator in 3M adhessive remover and tech was able to clean out radiator.
Just an fyi.

i guess it did end up being an airflow problem. sorry

ok, im having the same problem and i cnat seem to figure it out!!!
my a/c blows not so cold in the day (usually 80-90ish degree'z outside) the car over heats only with the a'c on.....but will get hot at idle aeound 213-220ish.....
before she used to get really hot, including the trans....i added another 18k trans coolrer in font of the condenser....thats two coolers!! and the whole system now runs cool...
UNTIL i turn on the a/c and street driving or at idle..she will go up to 240-250 range. also, with the new cooler, the hot a/c thing started and i had the freon recently re refilled.....
i have stock everything.....

This is a great site and I appreciate all the information that helped lead to a solution.
I would suggest that after changing out the thermostat....and checking the belts ..waterpump that any one experiencing an overheat condition at the very least consider pulling the radiator for a similiar scenerio...
I've heard guys having compressed air go through the radiator to pull out a ton of crap...I just had the tech pull the radiator and it was obvious it needed to be soaked in 3 m adhessive remover to get that wax like substance that he has no idea what it was....and get it removed ..
Put on a few hundred miles yesterday and the cars running great.
Hope this thread helps anyone experiencing a similiar situation ....

so, you pulled out the radiator, soaked it and it now works fine?
Will try that...but wat about my a/c acting up? could the two trans coolers in front cause it to be less efficient?
