Default LS6 head

Ok i am kinda lost here looking for help

2000 ls1
ARP head studs installed
Ls6 heads decked .010 thousands (They worped )
Stock MLS gaskets LS6 type
stock rockers
TSP 231/237 cam

If i did my figures right i still am at 10.5 :1 stock CR

what gasket can i use to hit 11:1

and do you think there will be any P/V clearance issues

I also will be hitting her with a 150 shot

I calculate your compression to be 10.84:1. You could go to a thinner Cometic gasket (.041") and bump your compression to 11.23:1

Thanks for the help. do you think will it work with 93 oct and a 150 shot . P/v clearance looks not to be an issue.

How do i figure if my quelch area is acceptable with the thiner gaskets.

gasket thickness minus deck height will give you your quench. I.E with the .041 felpro and -.008 out the hole your quench would be .033. generally .035 - .040 is what most peope aim for..

I agree with JRP, but you have to measure your piston to deck height to get a clear idea. Mine was .007 OOH.
.035>.040 for street use is a good medium, but I've seen them as low as .030

If you had a choice witch company would you use I am trying to be a little over 11:1 and hit her with a 150 shot. Is any gasket company beter then another.

Cometic makes nice gaskets , but they are expensive.
