When I was putting in the brass fitting for my water temp sender in the passenger side cylinder head, it snapped!!
I had the frickin' thing in place, but thought just a little more snug would be better. DOH!!
On this page is a picture of the brass adaptor that snapped...

So here I sit, my car half in/out of the garage up on ramps, coolant drained, and work tomorrow...
Please - does anybody have any ideas as to how I can get that fitting's threads out of the block easily???
TIA -

I did the exact same thing. Just get an easy out from the hardware store. There is absolutely no pressure on those threads at all and it will come right out. Not a big deal. However, finding a new temp sensor might be. I tried 5 dealers and finally had to order one.
Good Luck,
Bryan

Bryan is dead on. An Easy out will do it easily. You can probably just use the bit by hand to get the fitting out.

When I broke one a while back I got a set of needlenose pliars, put them inside the brass fitting, expanded the pliars for pressure, and then turned them to unthread it. You'll prolly have to order a new coolant temp sensor tho.

Thanks for all the help -
I got lucky with a screw extractor set I had, and fortunately, it came out without much effort. For a few minutes though, thoughts of having to pull the head "danced through my head"
Since finding those friggin' adaptors locally is a no-go, I had to put everything back together, refill the coolant and order a new one online.
Oh well, it could have been much, MUCH worse...

The same thing happened to me too!! Were you guys all using that Eqqus adapter? I decided to give up on the project. I didn't want something that brittle inside my cylinder head.

I haven't given up on the project yet, so I ordered another one (actually 2 ). This time, I hope to have better luck...
