I think your 4.10's fucked your numbers up big time. You should be sitting at least 430 at the wheels.

I think you have an overly optimistic outlook on the achieving high horsepower levels. Exceeding 400rwhp is not too hard if you have all the right compenents: Long tubes, correct cam, intake, ported TB, UD pulley, Ported heads, tuning. Hitting 430rwhp is alltogether different. It's not easy with a stock displacement LS1. Especially if you want to remain emissions compliant. It takes attention to detail in every area. The right head choice. The right cam choice. The right exhaust choice. Try it and you'll see.

its final, I am getting a custom grind cam. Force Fed are taking my specs today and said 400 with my setup plus an UD pulley and a ported TB is probably where I will sit after the Tune.

I dont think I am optomistic at all about my numbers. I have seen plenty of people with heads, cam, exhaust, etc. reach 430 rwhp. To me, that was looking like the bench mark for a decent h/c setup. It would be intresting to see what milage is the engines in comparison to there numbers.

i agree. btw my car has 22K miles.
back when i did my H/C set-up about 16 months ago 400 rwhp was a great number for a small cam, and still low CR. and remember mine like yours needed to pass smog. and i was told that this cam would be the best bet for great power and a safe somg.

and before i decide on the set-up i did want around 425-430rwhp... but was told that i would need a bigger cam 228-230 (forget smog) and up the CR to 11:1 with LS6 heads.... then i would see 430rwhp no problem!

but my car passed smog with ease. and 400rwhp feals damn good with 4:10's.
so good luck to you. i hope you get the power (numbers) you want!

i have the cheaTR cam with a 90/90 set up, longtubes, exhaust, lid and tuned. I have LS6 heads that will be getting ported in the next month or two. I know that is a lot of time to wait, but i promise as soon as they are done, ill post up dyno #'s with the CheaTR cam and above mods combo. I would hope to see 425 to the wheels with absolutly ZERO compromises like patrick mentioned. Mine does have a little lope though, but drives like stock.
