Default FM13 Just Installed Great Dyno Numbers BUT!!!

I just recently installed F13 on 112+2 and it dynoed great. I had a friend of mine tune on it and it still has a real problem Idling on cold starts and I can smell it still running rich at idle. It Dynoed 422rwhp and 389rwtq and it showed a 13.0 afr at wide open. This was done on a Superflow dyno. I am thinking of taking the car to Alan himself and getting itn lined out. All mods are in sig.

Those seem like really good numbers, at first glance but then I saw you had the LS6 long block. You are a ways away from Allan. You could send your pcm to him and I'm sure he'd get it close to right on. He's a champ.

I am quite a bit aways away but it will be worth it to me to get a great tune in it. It just surges a little also when driving at low speeds and I know it isnt right.

You shouldn't have a problem. I have seen that cam hit around 47x before on here, with some patriot heads. (Gomer) Damian also hit 47x with that cam and some heads.

Obviously somethings wrong since that cam is supposed to idle really well, and drive near stock. Send Allan your computer.

The long block has the LS6 heads...a better flowing head. Nice numbes BTW. Wonder how it would work in my FRC ? I've got an LS6 intake too.

Basically it has the LS6 heads w/10.5 compression and much better flowing. They are worth prolly 20+rwhp in themselves.

I'm telling ya just send it to Allan. No need for a drive. If you want new numbers just get it re-dyno'd, but not tuned. Allan should get the tune right on the money. Just send it to him and tell him the problems you are having.

A long block comes with heads. A short block doesn't. That's about all the differences. It's kind of misleading since they are the same size.

ls6 blocks have larger openings between cylinders in the main web area for better oil control at high rpm and therefore produce a little more hp than earlier ls1 blocks. Some 02 camaros came with the ls6 block.
