Yeap, that is about it,
quench is the distance between piston top and head deck
How to calculate quench?
Quench = gasket compressed thickness - piston to deck position (in or out of hole)

Ah, thanks for clarifying that predator, I should have been more specific and said my description was of "quench area" or sometimes you hear of a "quench pad".

I can understand the LS6 oil pump,
but why he need an LS2 Timing chain? is It a misspelling?
