Default Cam help (confused and frustrated!)

Hi all, I am new to the board, and hope I can get some collective help.

I have a 02 Ram Air M6, with SLP intake, SLP LT headers, ORY pipe, ported heads and no cats. I also had a HR 267a/274b-10 cam installed. The gross lift for this cam is .552 intake and .544 exhaust with an LSA of 110. (also installed new springs and pushrods to match the cam)
The problem is, I love the power this cam makes on the top end, (always could use more of course) but the driveability is just driving me nuts. I am so fed up I almost considered selling the car! I have had it tuned twice, (ouch) and each time it got better. Still, it wont run if I just let out the clutch, it pulses bad when just cruising through town or decelerating, stalls quite a bit when warm. Overall, it is just not drivable. Do I have a tuning issue still? or am I just asking too much of this cam?
I almost just pulled it all out and put it back to stock, but then thought I should ask around first.

what's the duration? can't really help with just the lift and lsa.

Who tuned it? If they didn't re-work the VE tables, you still have lots of improvement to be gained from tuning. The cam you're running is pretty small.

@ .050 it is .218 and .226

I didnt want a real wild cam when I bought it, just wanted a moderate increase in power and a higher powerband. This is why I am so darn frustrated, I wasnt asking for 550 rwhp!

1st tune was done by Detroit Speed werks (I think that was the name-the owners name was Greg Banish I think) next tune was done by Livernois motorsports.

You need to have it looked at/TUNED by somebody competent. A 218/226 shouldn't die on a STOCK tune, 110 lsa or not.

We have a tuner here in phoenix who is tuning 236/242 and larger cams on 114, 112, and 110 lsa's and can tune them to pretty close to stock drivability.
You just need to find a good tuner there are alot on here just do some research. And good luck

Default another question

It is possible it could also be an install problem? Maybe not degreeed properly? (in my gut I felt it was a tune problem, but I dont know any other tuners in the area. will have to check on the site and see)

Most tuners will make adjustments for the car to make great power at WOT and will bump the idle speed, but superb cold starting and surge-free running a low rpm comes from adjusting the VE tables. It will make you hate the cam or love it, depending on how well they're adjusted. I would guess they're not adjusted well or at all.

A chimp should be able to tune a cam that small.

yeah, my cam is bigger than that and has almost stock manners, atleast 90% of the time
