It's doubtful that a person who has damaged their crank threads would be capable of using such an item. Besides how many people have a 21/32nds drill bit lying around?

I know that it's a m16x2.0, 2.0 being the thread pitch, but I didn't know that there is a coarse or fine thread that's why i'm asking? kind of threw me off with the coarse or fine, so i was wondering if the crank bolt is coarse of fine, some say one others say another.

Anyone that has to ask if the crank bolt is course or fine probably needs glasses, but someone that has to REPEATEDLY ask that question definately should not work on your car and probably shouldn't even work on their own. That question is so BASIC it goes way behond the scope of what LS1 Tech is here to address. Do you even know what a thread pitch gauge is? I didn't think so. Go buy yourself one in metric and SAE and sit down and stare at it for a while. Then go do a GOOGLE on "FASTENERS" and do about 2 weeks research. Then come back and tell us if the crank bolt is course or fine. I can't wait to hear your answer.

I suppose some people don't understand that everyone doesn't have their basics, or know certain terminology. Just because they don't know one thing doesn't mean they are stupid or cannot work on their car. I've changed the oil pump, timing chain, swapped the rear end, and I just found out a few months ago how to gap a spark plug. (didn't think you would actually have to bend the electrode) So does this make me incompetant or unable to work on my car. Obviously not

Thanks,
Eddie
