Default Gains after cam install?

I'm soon to buy and have installed a FMS F12 cam. Cam specs are 230/230 .595/.595 114lsa.

What could i expect to gain from this cam after tunning?

Is my choice too big to be in a daily driven A4?

With proper tuning it should be okay as a daily driver. I wouldn't expect a whole lot outta the cam maybe 20-30 hp. Its a good size cam but with stock heads (assuming you have stock heads) you aint gonna get most out of it.

You should get's some good number's out that cam and with tuning you will be fine. I have the F13 in my 2000 WS6 M6 and it is my DD. Ihave no problem's with idel or anything.Don't worry you will love your cam and also I notic you have a good size stall and that should help a lot with that cam.

How can you not get more than 20 from that cam? I put a 216/220 114 comp baby cam in mine and gained 15-20 rear wheel hp and torque, then an additional 12 from a tune. You should see more than that.

The F-12 should gain more than 20 rwhp in an automatic Corvette. Heck, even the CheaTR cam gained 42 in a mild bolt on Vette with an A4.

Am i out of my mind thinking that the car would gain 30-40 with the cam? Closer to 40 was around the number i was thinking.

I also will upgrade the converter to a PT4000. Probably at the same time.

ditto.

I'd be very happy if I got more than 30, because it's unlikely with that cam and stock heads.

My M6 gained 41 RWHP with a Lunati 226/234 554/575 112. Stock tune.

I would guess you should be in the 35 RWHP range for a gain with that cam.

I would expect over 50rwhp gain with the cam. Its a good match for a 4k stall.

Exactly, your "M6". Your M6 will put out a lil more power than an A4 with the same set up. Hey but then again I could be wrong.

50 rwhp....ummmmmm NO.
