Sissy gas mileage ? for Strokers

Just wondering. I've spent way to many hours on this site trying to figure out the best set up to keep decent gas mileage and have horsepower. Nitrous, well I have kids in the back seat... Turbo, I live in memphis and anything noticeable = stolen. So now I'm reading these 408, 402 packages with about 480 hp.
What kind of gas mileage do you guys get with these type engines?
Also, feel free to give any advice for a guy who wants to go fast, MAINLY on the street, wants >17 mpg and really I have money to spend but 6 g's gets to be a little excessive.

u can put a nitrous bottle where the spare tire goes.

A lot of variables will effect your MPG. I can get anywhere from 14 - 22 mpg with my 383.

I have a 427 . I took a 300 plus mile trip. 200 of it highway. Averaged 26.1 according to the onboard puter.. (got 29 on just the higway)

I average 22 with local trips..
