I agree, If MTI built the motor, you should talk to them first. However, theyre recomendation will be on the conservative side (a good thing depending on how your looking at it)

This is true. They do tend to stay on the conservative side of things. Not a bad thing at all IMO. This was very valuable to me when my car was a daily driver. Now that it is track only, I'm starting to want those xtra tenths.

yeah same on my end i have also talked with erik over at HPE where the motor was built about heads and cam but im just looking around it never hurts to look heheh

I think one of the main reasons why is because they offer a warranty unlike most other shops on performance motors.

In the throwback days the tony used the T1(221/221) in his 382 big bore motor and it was considered healty for that motor. Weather you got heads only or a cam only I could see a huge gain in your motor. With the extra cubes your motor should be really responsive to mods.
