Cool

I have screwed enough up on my cam install, you have convinced me to get the ARP bolts, for the reinstall of the heads.

I must say that was a very interesting job you gave me Jon... After the look in Daves face making that last twist I knew it. I have pulled many broken bolts out before but that by far was my hardest... My biggest fear was drilling in to the block. But 3 hours and some custom fabing of tools it all worked out. I am just glad we got it out.

Then Mark from WOT got it out and I was relived, and bummed because I now did not have enough bolts to put the car back together.

Well I got the new ARP bolts in yesterday. I got off this morning and re-installed one head and got the other put on and all is well so far. The rockers are on, valve covers, intake, waterpump, power steering pump...I hope to be done soon. I just came in to take a short water break.

reclean the bolt holes. after you are certain that they are clean, lube the bolt with engine oil, not alot, just one edge of the bolt. that should help out. Grind an old bolt flat on 2 sides, push a paper towel in to make sure everything is out of there.

I've done that before, not on a ls1 motor, but on other things.. getting out broken bolts sucks big time. Good job on getting that out. Tell ya what.. I'll be ordering ARP studs when I have to swap on my new heads for sure... I won't even take the bolt route period.

So how's it running? Are you happy with it? How's it sound....much of a lope or no? I have the same cam as you do....but the 112 version, and it makes the car shake pretty good

The car is running strong... Jon you really do need to get a stall for it. 3200 should be perfect for it! It will be night and day... What do you guys think!
