I think I may just go with an off the shelf MTI C2 or TSP 225 ground on the 112 +2( I think that's how they grind all of them) just got to find out if they'll clear without flycutting. How do I figure out the Dynamic compression. This is my problem now-if I want to lower dynamic compression I have to find a cam that will work without flycutting because of the amount my heads are milled.

Just checked, the AFR cam will put your DCR around 8.75 to 1. Yikes! No wonder it makes power everywhere!

What about a TSP 224, I'm prtetty sure it's the same as a C2 224/224 .581/.581 112+2? Thanks Patrick!

TSP 224 and MTI C2 (224/224 112LSA (+2)): DCR is 8.97 to 1.

Back it off to 112 ICL and it drops to 8.83 to 1. Still awefully high in my book.

**** does this mean I'm stuck with the factory cam? I guess changing to the factory MLS gasket is no good as others have said it will hurt the quench and that could lead to detonation-BUT-isn't that the gasket you run bro? So I guess the only thing I could do is notch the pistons or just leave the cam that's in there? But you what cams are you guys in Florida and Texas running with 11.5 CR?

Doesn't Cartek shave off like .055 on there LS6 heads with there 2X package, I think the cam is a 224/228 on a 113-not sure how much advance is in it though?

Vortech, if it were me, I'd run the 224/228 114LSA 113ICL Comp cam and call it a day. You won't need to fly cut. You won't need to do radical tuning. You won't lose power compared to bigger cams. I think you'd be most happy with this cam. Keep in mind, Tony Mamo used almost the exact same specs as you to make 480 rwhp (tight quench with .040 Cometics, small 59-60cc chambers). He ran fine on pump gas and you should too. Don't let the DCR scare you and remember, the more you advance the intake centerline, the more you're going to raise DCR.

Patrick I might as well just stick the CheaTR in then since I already have it? I can't see the 224/228 worth anymore than 5-10RWHP over the CheaTR-i mean you made an awesome 433 and then again a crazy 455- so a gain of 22 for almost 20 degress more intake duration. See I want the car to be super streetable and pass emissions. Im guessing I'm at 415 right now with addition of the longtubes. I just saw the cam card for the C1 it was ground and installed straight up on a 112. Wow what a crazy thread man-I'm back to where I started. I figured going to the 224 cams would drop my DC. I was sticking tot he 224 cams as they are proven, drive great and don't lope too hard. Can you explain the reason about the ICL and how it affects the DC?
