Get the TR224 from Thunder Racing. Get it on a 112 LSA so you will have a more choppy idle. It will drive very well.

Read the cam guide sticky. Search.

Do you have an aftermarket torque converter? Headers?

i got headers, gears, intake ect... So a TR224 would b a good one? as long as it has a pretty aggressive idle and drives good gas mileage wise.... also would it be wise for me to go ahead and get springs,gaskets....anything else??? would a 3200 stall be okay for a tr224?

That's a little big for being good on gas mileage. I think you will be fine with the TR224 and a 3000+stall. You will prolly need a bigger stall than that if you went with the tr230/236-112. That cam will make a bit more power, but there is always trade-off's. You will HAVE TO HAVE NEW SPRINGS. Get some 918's from comp if you go with the tr224. If you go with the other one I'd get PRC duals just for the peace of mind. You will need new gaskets. Here is a write up on the cam install and what you need. http://ls1howto.com/index.php?article=23

I just got a cam (222/222 -114) headers, pulley installed. Everything is in my sig. If my cam was any bigger I dont think I would like it. Not for a daily driver.

Depends on the duration. On a 224 the 112 would be fine w/ a decent tune.

alright i have narrowed it down......either a 224 112 ....or a f13...what do you guys think? i drive it everyday...which will sound better, which will have more performance? on an a4...anybody have a rough estimate of what kinda power i would produce with either cam....i got your basic bolt ons with some 373's...

I think the F-13 would be a better overall cam. Most people are disapointed with the "lope" of it, but I think that that is because of the size of it. I'd personally go with the f-13 no questions asked, but I'm not sure about the difference in sound that you may want. I'd say ~380rwhp with the tr224 and ~400rwhp with the f-13. They will have equal driving habits and about the same torque curve.

i have a 224 and i liek it it made good power but theer are alot of bigger cams that are good for dialy drivers also. it just depends on what you want really. i would personlay go with somethig in the 230's if i was you that is what i should have done when i got my 224 but i got a good deal on it then. i need a much bigger cam now for my setup

I will have a 224/228 cam installed next month. I will post results...it will be a nice street cam with stock-like behavior.
