JWIS Timing Chain Does the JWIS timing chain directly replace the stock unit without changing the sprockets?
Is this chain better made than the LS2 chain?
Is it made by Katech?

If you are trying to decide to go with the jwis or the ls2. Go with the ls2 there is not enough difference in most applications to justify the price. I'll look a little further into it and see if I can find something for you. I personally use a double roller. Not necassary but hey why not be double safe.

I want to do this only once, and the JWIS was on my short list. Now with Thunder Racing offering discounts on all their stuff, it becomes even more attractive.
The new LS2 chain has a significantly different link that has an increased thickness over the old style link found on the LS1 and LS6.

That's all I could find. I can't find any pics of the jwis. But it is made by Katech.
You'd be fine with the ls2 chain unless you are planning on getting the TRex cam or bigger. Anything mid 230's and smaller you will be fine and proly even much bigger than that. I like to be safe though

So do I. I just spoke with Katech, they told me they never had one fail, period and they feel it is a better chain than the LS2. Since its a direct plug-in, think I will likely go with the JWIS.
