Very few people have had problems with their Textralia. If they have, they are very minor problems with simple solutions. Do a search in the Manual section for "Textralia" and you will find a ton of info. I know a guy who had is Spec 3 blow up on him on the freeway. It destroyed his bellhousing, transmission, flywheel, engine block, long tube headers, not to mention the dented and penetrated floor boards. You can see some pics here... https://ls1tech.com/forums/showpost....08&postcount=9

And here's another... https://ls1tech.com/forums/showpost....11&postcount=1

Spec's suck, bottom line. I have a McLeod and it actually isn't a bad clutch. What makes the whole setup horrendous is the POS adj. master that mcleod puts out. A lot of people also have had good experiences with Ram clutches. I've only heard good about Textralia but then again, you get what you pay for, and that is big money.

If you want to know about some problems with SPEC send a PM to VINCE here on the board. He's now using a Textralia clutch....not sure how much he can tell you about his spec problem though. Send him a PM and ask him if he'd ever use a spec clutch again.

Hahaha...I've spent the past two months in classes/studying for my CCNA. I finally got certified Tuesday so now I can focus on my car a little more. So hopefully it will get installed soon. Have some little issues that need ironing out first.

I'm running a stock flywheel, mcleod master, and a ram powergrip HD.
It chatters, with 3.42, unless you learn to slip it a hair, or just "launch" the car at each light..
I like it, it grabs like a sumbitch, but I'm tempted to goto the Tex when this one wears out.

Wasn't Vince running a spec5 before it gernaded?
