Default LS1 Hot Cam & LS6 Heads Question

I recently purchased a LS1 Hot Cam with LS6 springs to put on my 98 A4 SS. I have L/T headers, LS6 Intake and, TSP Duals and all the bolt ons what kind of power would anyone think I might see after adding the hot cam? (last time i dynoed was just with the L/T`s and it was 317 on the dynojet)

I have heard of many people buying LS6 heads and doing the port and polish themselves to save money, would these bolt right up on a 98 LS1 and what kind of power might you see out of these?

I used to have a 2000 M6 z28 that did 388rwhp/370 rwtq with the hotcam and pretty much every bolt on u can imagine suspension and power wise. That was an M6 though as well, it also had an ls6 intake manifold, ported TB, alotta **** basically. I would guess you will make around 360 or so, hope you know a good tuner to handle that idle with an A4.

hotcam specs are 219/228 .525/.525 112 lsa. in my auto, it idled pretty rough without a tune, but was driveable. with a tune it had a great lope, sounded much bigger than it was. i will never say anything bad about the hotcam. a friend of mine run 12.0 @ 115 mph in the quarter in his 02 Z28 m6 with just headers, ory, airlid, fast toys ram air, and nittos. everything else was stock including having a full weight car with ground effects.

LS6 heads bolt right up but you will probably need the center bolt valve covers for them also. I would not fool around trying to port or polish them. They are already gonna give you a nice bump in power expecially with that cam.

One of the sponsors on here claimed that they hit 400hp with that cam with every bolt on. It woke my car up pretty good even with no tune. I have run 8.04@89 in the 1/8 with this cam but thats only with 1.9 60' times. I have something ordered to give me the traction I need to get my 60' in the 1.6's if I can keep the rear together.

I think you would probably hit 400hp with that cam and the LS6 heads along with the major bolt ons.
