What newer spring? Are the PSI's being replaced with another spring and if so, when will this occur and how will we know which we are getting?

Is the new spring a beehive design as well?

I already ordered my set from Summit with the expected ship date of Christmas Eve. I would like to know what springs I will be getting with my heads also. I do know they will be used with a G5x3 cam on a 114 cut, so my lift will be .600/.610.

Thanks!

The set of 225's I received had beehives. I posted some dimensions here

Ok, now the confusion sets in. Not that I think it will matter for my situation, but if there is a spring change, I would really like to know when the change is taking effect.

It is not a current production change. All the current assemblies have the PSI 1511's.
I'm quite sure we will let this board know if a change occurs.
BTW - The spring under consideration is also a beehive.

I'm just waiting on some ARP's to come in and we can start putting this all on a motor. Then the fun part is battling the snow and getting things on the dyno....

Summit is pessimistic. They'll have 'em sooner than that.

When I ordered my 225s in early Dec, the expected ship date was 24 Dec...did they mean 2006?

They often tell people that they are waiting on a distant shipment ... usually 4-6 weeks away ... nope! We ship to them at least every two weeks if not more often. Currently there are 80 open orders for 205cc heads. Where you are in "line" depends on when the order was placed. I think that 30 more 205's were delivered today, so after being valve jobbed, blended, etc. they'll go out to the customers. Also 30 225's were delivered, but the backorder list on those is currently around 110 open orders. I know it feels like but hang in there, these heads are a hot item. You guys should be glad that guys like Jason at TSP had the foresight to order early . Many vendors are reactive to the market rather than proactive to it's demands.
