Default oil pressue question, extremely high

ok so what would be causing my oil pressure to be running at 80 - 100psi? recently got my h/c setup done, oil pressure was running around 60 when the inital startup took place, but now after messing with the valvetrain to get rid of tapping oil pressure is sky high. stock oil pump new comp lifters (oem style)
and right now stock pushrods and rockers.. possible i damaged the sensor? any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I have the same problem 50 -70 psi. I'd like to know the answer. Mine happened after my cam change as well. I thought maybe Speed Inc reshimmed the oil pump when they put it back on.

not overfilled (double checked just for you ) its odd because last night i fired it up again (3rd time of the night) and it sat around 55-60psi and then jumpedup to 80-100... i dunno maybe a wire is fried on the sensor or something, everything seems (from the basic valve cover off look) fine

yea, i think it is the sensor, cuz with the car turned to on and my friend wiggling the plug, the reading would fluxuate from 40psi down to 0 and up to 100 with his just playing with it, its in a position where it is operating normally right now, but i do have a sensor on order just so it doesnt reoccur on the freeway and i freak out...

nah, he was talking ~100 psi, oil temp doesn't account for that.

Below is an image of the location of the oil pressure sensor, its the verical black cylinder with the white plug on top. Almost impossible to remove with the intake on, as it sits between the intake and the vaccum pipe coming off the intake, be careful when removing the intake and you could snap the sensor off.

Good luck.
