Clutch problems - you don't really have clutch problems with 485 hp. you either have a clutch or you don't.

I do say 485 is possible, but as mentioned above, you would need some extreme pieces of go-fast for that.

it can happen. i got 434hp 390 tq mustang dyno and it was in the mid 90deg weather that day. i am also still on a stock th-body,stock mass air and ls6 intake. with up-graded parts(fast 90/90 ect) and on a dyno jet i may hit the 480hp mark on my 346ci.i have AFR heads and x3 cam,i've never seen SLP's heads and cam do anything in that neighbor hood of power. the BS flag is going up.

480rwhp on my ol' TSP/TEA setup (231/237/5.3,1.5's). I did have every big $$$ bolt-on possible too (90/90, QTP HVMC LT's).
I had the setup running at 460rwhp, the new owner degreed the cam and tuned it further to 480rwhp. Stock cubes, stock bottom end.

I tuned Tony's AFR car and yes, it had all the bolt-ons and a superbly ported FAST intake. The best numbers I remember were 482/437.

We've done one other with all the goodies, but a larger cam, and it was 496/445.

However, most of the others we've done, without all the "goodies" are 450/420 range.

SLP's 485hp package was just that 485Bhp not at that wheels. So he could have that package and be close to 485Bhp, but either be lying or confused.

A lot of new GTO guys ask about the 421hp SLP Bobcat package - quite a few think it's rwhp when it's only fwhp.

IF it is the SLP package it is bullshit. A local guy here just put the LT4 kit on his LT1 and is telling everybody he has over 450 engine hp (LT4 kit, K&N intake, edlebrock shorties, stock cats, flowmaster muffler welded in stock cat-back). If I can recall the LT4 kits on those produce about 330 to the wheels without longtubes and 3" ORY. Some people are just kinda funny to listen too when they actaully believe what they say.
