Default lq9 vs ls1?

i am looking to get some heads for my 5.3l, i can find the 6.0l lq9 heads cheaper than the ls1 or ls6 heads. does anyone know the major diffrence, or which one would be better?

The deck of the 317 (LQ4/LQ9) is a little thicker to yield a combustion chamber of that is about 72 cc's rather than about 60 cc's (as I recall) for the 243 LS6 casting. Otherwise, they are virtually the same. Since you are running a supercharger with 6 PSI of boost, I'd recommend the 317 castings and keep your static CR about 9.4:1. That way you won't have such a problem with detonation under boost. The valves and flow rates for the two heads are very similar.
