Angry new cap bearings, new block....loose!!!!

I was yesterday at the shop (finally) measuring main caps, with all new

new ls6 block
new federal mogul race caps (nhra aproved and stuf) dont remember exact model, left the box in the shop
oem crank (well not ALL new)
the crank is straight, and all journals micropolished
acording to "the books" what Im targettng is:
book 1 0.0015-0.0019"
book 2 0.0007-0.00212

and here are specs:
CAP CRANK CLEARANCE
1 2.5615 2.55875 .00275
2 2.5615 2.55875 .00275
3 2.5615 2.55875 .00275
4 2.56175 2.5589 .00285
5 2.5615 2.5585 .003

my shop sait it will mill the caps to leave clerance of .0015-.00125 and then align bore

Im very sad because I thougt that everything new should be bolt on and no compromises

WHY?!
IT WAS A DAM NEW BLOCK!!!!!!

I went through 5 sets (pick and match) before I could scavenge a matching one.
Bitch is here there is no place that could mill them.

I have to import everithyng, so it will be very expensive to buy 6-7 sets just "to try",
but the strange thing is that the caps where very evenly matched .

the milling machine my shop uses is a small grinding wheel with a very sturdy fixture to place the cap at 90 deg exact, and a big degreed wheell atached to an ultra fine thread for height measurement...
I hope the clown operating it will know the diference betwenn an LS6 and a greyhound engine....

Predator, are you an american stationed/living in UAE, or are you native to UAE? If the latter what made you choose a Camaro? They have to be rare out there.

I'm a Texan (LOL).
My father is American (from Lebanese origin), my mom is French.
I was born in the Lone Star state (Houston).
Yeah, V8 maros are relatively few, most late models 97<95
LS1 Maros are even rarer (no SS, unless import), and I know of 3 modded ones (whipped all of them) and i'm the only LS1 camaro racing at the track.

There is a lot of LS1 stuff, Lumina SS (Holden Monaro), caprice/impala SS, a few Vettes (of which I own 1 too).

Wink

Hey guys, what about MY CAPS!!!!!!

Not to throw flames, writting this with a smile and I still amaze from the web, I used to have a 11m CB radio when kid, and an important question was "where are you located?" and be amazed at how far your contraption of aerial (antenna) will reach.
