I have the same can also. I didn't really feel comfortable using a filler material in the can. Instead I mounted the can on the air pump bracket under the drivers side headlight. This way the can is way lower than the intake, and the oil vapor has about 5 ft of hose to go through before it gets to the can. That should give it enough surface area and distance to condense the vapors out of the air.
