Default how much $$$ to mill heads

I decided it would be stupid to leave my afr's at 66cc so I'm gonna get them milled locally. What is a good price for a machine shop to mill a pair of heads?

Locally (Manhattan, KS) I believe it was around $30 a head.. It might have been a little less that..

Thanks for the responses, that's cheaper than I thought. I have a stupid question. When they mill heads do they have to disassemble them or is the milling done with the valves still in place?

You can do it with the heads assembled. Just make sure they are dry blow very well to get out all the shavings. Around $70 is the going price.

Make sure the shop is reputable and make sure they take off the same from each head. Even measure it yourself afterwards with a caliper.

I think i'll be going here http://www.kotzurracing.qpg.com/ . They've gotten some very good feedback on the local f-body and mustang boards.

any where from 50-100. but make sure the shop is using a CNB manchine or better. If they say they use a rock-table or belt style, you'd better hope they have good experience on it. and a non-acid vatting would be best for cleaning the heads after milling. A lot of shops include this with milling.
