bingo.

U DONT NEED TO SHIFT AT 6500

My new GTO has a very small cam
214-222 559-566 115+4...It was put in becuase I wanted a cam designed for shorties (standard split) that sounded stock but pulled hard to 6500 w/good lowend..

I shift it at 6300 w/the rev limiter set at 6500..
I will be adding either a blower or a good set of heads to my GTO over the winter....

I also had 2 versions of the TR224
It doesnt sound stock...

This is excellent information. I'm impressed with your times and speeds with the small of cam and shifting that low!

This explains it ...

That said, a good converter with at least 3500 stall that keeps your power above 4500 (in shift extension) is a wise choice. This will keep you from having to rev it to 6500+ every time. Selecting a cam that make peak power closer to 6000 is a smart move for long trans life and best power in an A4.

there are two. 047 cam 210/218 .531/.531 112LSA and the 062 cam 210/218 .551/.551 112LSA. just put the 062 in the wifes car two weeks ago. hoping for some dyno time before friday. it'll be at the track on friday, regardless of dyno time.

You might want to look into getting some hardend pushrods also. Don't think the stockers will last too long, if at all.
