Default ls1 to 6.0 crank

I have an 00 ls1 that is going under the knife, and i was wondering would a stock 6.0 crank work in my ls1? And if so what displacement would i be?

I believe they are the same.

They are the same stroke, the 6.0L gains it's extra cubic inches from a larger bore. You'll need an aftermarket crank if you want something with a longer stroke than stock.

The LQ9 cranks from 99-00 were in fact different from the LS1/6 cranks. Anything newer, they are the same.

What was different about them? Just curious since this is the first time I have heard about it.

I believe the rear of the crank was a bit longer/bigger which made problems for mating up to the tranny.

The rod journals are solid on the 6.0 crank, and hollow on the 5.7 crank. The 6.0 is stronger, but heavier.
