Default Tr 224/224 114?

Hello, i have been doing research for a new cam for some time now.I have read many threads and the cam sticky. The TR 224/224 114 is my first choice. My questions are
1. Will it make my car sound like a sewing machine?
2. How aggressive is that cam and running comp 918 how often should the springs be swapped?
From my research i have gathered it is an outstanding cam for a daily driver wich, is exactley what its going in to. If there is additional information regarding this cam i would greatley appreciate it. Thank you

Your springs will last a while, and I've never heard an ls1 that sounded like a sewing machine, it will sound good especially with a nice header/catback combo.

Mine sounded like a sewing machine. However I think that was more a function of the springs I used....dual springs.

what do you guys mena by the springs lasting a long time-I know when I called them up they said to check the springs every 20-30 thousand miles. To much changing for me, but I'm sure the power is nice I plan on going with a crane cam which I was told by them will last quite a bit longer-depending on spring up to 100,000 miles.

I have the TR224 and I love it, BUT I wish I went with the 228.
The sewing machine sound will come from the springs not the cam. I have 918 springs and it does sound more springier than stock springs. Really my cam, headers, and GHL cover most of the noise from the outside, but in the drivers seat, I still hear it.

It is not a bad noise. You can cut and paster my link in my sig, and hear my car at idle. Sometimes I think I hear the springs and sometimes I dont. The link seems to take a minute or two to load.
