Default 224 and NOS?

I'm planning on getting the TR 224 - 112 lsa cam w/ 918 springs, TR pushrods, and a 3200 stall to start on. I chose this cam because its my daily driver and I want to keep it pretty streetable. I'm wondering how does this cam handle NOS? Anybody have any experience w/ the TR 224 cam and sprayin it? I would like to get the NX LS1 wet kit eventually. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

I dont have that cam but I dont need it to tell you that you will be fine. Nitrous deosnt require a special cam. Sure some cams with extra exhaust duration may perform better but its not single pattern cams dont work well.

Thanks man, I won't be adding nitrous for several months but I was just curious how well it would that cam.

It will do fine within the levels of Hp injection you are planning.
But i suggest a dry kit to start with, because N2O usage goes hand in hand with tuning.
Dry is more forgiving and the myth that wet hits harder is Bolony. That has to do with fuel supply. Give that baby adequate and steady fuel supply and the effects are the same.
BTW, I have a dual stage dry.

Also, do you think I need to get a timing chain or LS6 oil pump w/ this cam? and will the stock retainers be okay?

Get a replacement GM pump, they are all LS6 now.
Also LS2 timing chain.
Stock retainers will work with 918's but if you can spare the $$, a set of titaniums will benefit at higher rpm.

That cam will do fine on the juice. I had a similiar one, it was TSPs 225/225 .589/.589 on 112. It did good on and off the juice.

I would get the items like Predator Z said, along with a set of chromoly pushrods. Do it once, do it right....Good luck!
