well i have a chance to get a 226/229/113 582/590 comp cartech stage 3 cam from a friend for pretty much buying him dinner so will this cam work with my 4k stall?

Not sure if this helps you out but I already have a custom comp 228- 236 588- 578 @114 and a 4000 stall in my 01 ws6.It has good street manners,starts up fast and sharp.Has one hell of a idle does not die or stutter.Only once in a while when you start it you have to tap the gas pedal to keep it running.This has only happend once or twice.No track times yet but being conservative it should be in the high 11s easy.

Yes it will.
dinner for a cam is a hell of a deal.
Of course you would benefit from a bump in CR and thinner gasket for tighter quench .040>.045 (Cometic).
I still think FM11 or FM 13 would be better if you do not want to remove heads.
You can get them on custom lsa 112+0 or 113+0
