Wink Trickflow vs AFR on 3.90 bore flow numbers

Just had a chance to flow the new TFS LS1 head, it has a 13.5 degree valve angle and relocated spark plug to enhance the mid lift flow with a smaller valve, these had 2.04/1.57 valve diameters. This is the most impressive head we have seen on a 3.90 bore. The chamber measures around 3.950" across, so it is designed to be optimum on a 3.90 bore. All flow numbers off our bench.

Lift............AFR 205...........AFR 225...........TFS 215
.100............64...................68........... ........69
.200............140.................149........... ......139
.300............203.................220........... ......219
.400............250.................269........... ......261
.500............282.................306........... ......304
.550............296.................315........... ......314
.600............303.................305........... ......325

With this head having this much all around flow and being designed specifically for a 3.90 bore we anticipate it should be the most powerful 3.90 bore head money can buy, and it has TONS of piston to valve clearance. It has about .050" more P to V then our 5.3 Stg 1.5 head. I have flow numbers off the new Dart heads, but they were not as good as the AFR 205. Enjoy!

Almost forgot, this is with absolutely NO hand finish work.

Intriguing...have they released a price on these yet? What do you use for rocker arms?

What do you use for intake port radius? Your 225 AFR data is substantanily lower (305 vs. 320) @ 0.600" than their posted numbers: http://www.airflowresearch.com/ , but the rest of the 225 and the 205 data is similar.
Update: Oops! I see they test the 225 on a 4.125" bore...

The 225s he had were on a smaller bore than what I'm seeing on their website - 3.90 (Brian's) vs. 4.125 (AFR's).

Looks like you caught that too...I'm definitely liking the idea of having something optimized for the 3.900 bore considering I just don't have the money (nor do I want to spend the money) for a larger bore engine.

Do you use the SF600, 1020 or something different? Also what about the exhaust numbers?

they use an audie/flow data bench, not SF.

It doesn't matter what brand flowbench they use if we are comparing data that was measured on the exact same flowbench for each item. You guys are too critical, quit flowbench racing

Just price them about $1200-1300 bucks (summit price) and you guys will take over the market for the normal street heads/cam guys
