Opinions on cam...
Car is a 2000 TA WS6, M6...
LTs, true duals, LS6 intake, ported TB, ASP pulley, '02 LS6 cam and hovering around 360rwhp.
Car has been feeling sluggish lately (my impression, not the car itself), so I've been thinking of upping the cam. Thinking of going with this:
FMS FM 10 228/228 .581/.581 112
possibly couple that with some 3.73 gears.
Sound like a good plan? Mostly daily driven, occasional track time. Ideally, it should idle "close" to stock, possibly slightly choppy... As for power, I'd like the entire curve to move up, but I wouldn't complain if it was more top end...
Yes, no, thoughts?

I have the simular TSP 228R, great cam! Love the sound at idle, can handle being driven in traffic, and can put down some good numbers. I made 388 before cut out and throttle body. Gears would be nice, but I would go with 4.10.

great cam choice. no need to go over 230 duration if you arent doing heads and intake. As far as the gears 4.10's all the way. i drive a 60 mile round trip to work 4 times a week and i wouldnt have it any other way. made it a whole new car. rpms are only at like 2k on the highway. you can figure it out here.

The reason I said TR 230 is that with your true duals + LTs you have the perfect exhaust to maximise that cam.
It has one of the flattest trq curve available for that size range cam. It was designed that way by Thunder.
Nice lope too.

Realistically (not optimistically), what kind of gains could I expect from a 228-230 ranged cam? Like I said, 360ish right now with the LS6 cam, so I'm assuming a cam in this range should give me a nice bump...

Get a bigger cam. Go a little bigger than you think you want or can manage. 3.73 gears are indeed a good idea with a larger cam.
I suggest you start looking for something in the 230's. FM13, 233/239, TR230, etc etc.

I think you're just about right, but I'd pick the F11: same intake port duration but a little more exhaust duration for more torque... Same power band...
Personally I'm going for the F13, but I'd probably be smiling with an F11 :-)

So, I guess the next question would be what springs to focus on with an F11... Would 918's be sufficient? The F11 is a .576"/.595" cam and the 918's are advertised at .600", but I've heard they run up to like .615" or so...

fugasi do your research, and dont go to small on a cam, you might regret it, that 232/236 cam with stock heads made alot of power in jrs car, the 224/228 is a nice small cam too that drives nice

cbrtrx, you know me, I try to do my due diligence in research... lol Going bigger, right now, is somewhat out of the option. Noise levels are a concern at work, as I work in the main building of a credit union and our VPs have meetings almost daily. And this will remain my daily driver for the near foreseeable future... That's why I'm thinking in the 228-230 area, tops...
