Default Anyone Running close to Cam 228/232. 588/574 ?

Guys:

LG's X1 cam = 228/232 588/574 ..... 112 LSA or 114 LSA ?

Just curious about the above cam.... How rough would it be to go with a 112 ? Need to warm the car up before driving ? shake your teeth loose ? Drivability ? Will I have to set the idle at 1500 RPM's just to kep it running ?
I understand that the HP will peak a bit earlier with the 112 LSA, but fall off earlier also.

I'm just looking for pros and cons to choosing a 112 over the 114 (228/232 588/574)

I like the 114 sound, but will I like the 112 more?

Its going to go on my 3000 mile a year 2004 Z06 garage queen

I want a bit of nasty.... just not too nasty....

Thanks guys !

Im running same specs except a .600" lift 112lsa and love it. I drive my car daily, when I say daily, I mean everyday, its my only car right now. I tuned it myself and it idles fine. Idle the 112lsa definetely gives it the bit of nasty feel because most will realize if they pull up next to you or hear/look at the engine while its running that this is clearly not a stock cam setup.

Its not that rough, I would say its no worse than your average diesel pickup truck. Definetly not going to shake your teeth loose, it doesnt shake that much, just once in a while depending on weather or your tune, the car will slightly shake/rock side to side. I have my idle at 900 and have no problems, definetely dont need to idle it at 1500. I think you will like the 112 sound because you seem to want a bit of nasty.

i have a 228/228 .588/.588 112lsa. my car is not tuned and an auto the cam has been in for about 6 months and it idles bad at first i gotta give it a little gas but once it settles down it idles at lik2 600 rpm it sounds mean as hell. shakes my car quiet a bit when it is first started but with a tune it should be fine. if you dont get a tune right away look foward to surges like all hell its a pain in the *** sometimes but it will be all over soon once the tune comes. i love the cam sounds great and even with out a tune the car is sick!!!!!!

I have the X1 at 114. It actually measured out at 113.3

Idle is at 700 and has a nice side to side rock to it, but nothing too harsh. You get more shake when cold and I am in Florida.

It might get a little old in bumper to bumper, but so can a clutch car. As described above, it has its moments when shake gets a little more pronounced.

I left my lady in the car and stepped out to an ATM. She thought that the car was going to blow up, but you know how that goes.

My 18 year old and his friends think that the car is nasty (in a good way)

It's an 03 Z with AFR 205's w/ springs, kooks lt's, magnaflow cats and Borla stingers, HP tuners.

Through a tunnel it sounds like an F1 car (well not really, but close enough).

Nice spitting and popping on engine braking, but not extreme.

Very little traction in 1st or 2nd with 335/30's.

I would not hesitate to go with a lot more cam, but that's just me (I like the rock n roll and rumble)

Is your car stick or auto? If auto, it may be harsher.

Are you talking about the cross drilled/slotted rotors I got on there now? If so they are just the standard AC Delco Durastop rotors I got from GMPartsDirect.
