Default Valve spring compressor tool question.

What valve spring compressor tool do you guys use on an LS engine? I've been looking and there is a wide price range, but I'm not sure whether or not they will all work. For example, Summit has a Proform stud mount compressor, Summit part no. PRO-66784, for $49.00. Will this work?

Thanks in advance.

Do a search on the "Larry tool" then just go make you one like that. It would be the chepaest easiest way.

I have the tool from crane. It is a little more expensive, but worth every penny. I can't imagine changing springs on the car without it.

I bought mine from Vinci when they had a GP/sale on them a couple of months ago. I had to modify mine with an air grinder to get it to work with my AFR225's and PP gold spings. It didn't bother me as I figured that it was designed for stock set ups.

Same here, same issue but with AFR 205's. No problem though once modified to fit, it works great. About $120 and you can do the intake and exhaust at the same time.

you get under the cowl with the crane tool it makes turning the nut that compresses the valvesprings even easier and quicker to turn

Done 4 or 5 spring swaps with mine. Little pricey but it works great.

The Crane tool is worlds better than the More tool. I used the Crane tool just last night. I couldn't believe how easy it was to do the valve springs.
