Livernois Motorsports CNC Ported LS2/LS6 Cylinder Heads $949.00 No Core Required

Well the price is good and you're getting 243 castings. The numbers look good for an LS1 casting, average for an LS6 casting. Will they make power, it would appear that they would. The valve job is "adequate" as descibed by Livernois. Honestly, I take that to mean stock.
It's a stock LS6 head that was put through the CNC mill. Good numbers for the money but mostly because the LS6 castings are better than LS1 castings from the get-go. If the ports are 215 and stock is 212 than it's just a mild CNC clean-up. Looking at the pics of the bowls, maybe it's just the lighting in the pics, there's lots of meat that could be removed.
Anyway, they flow as well if not better as any other head out there in the same price range. Plus you're getting LS6 heads which makes them more desirable for future porting. If I didn't have 2 sets of heads already, I'd pick them up.

Excuse my ignorance, but would there be any problem with swapping out the 918s and Ti retainers from my stock heads? I can't imagine there would be, but just checking.

I wonder if we could get a better price without the valvetrain components?

I know, I'm bad. I just about promised Patriot my business.
I wasn't planning on heads for awhile because I'm about to pull the trigger on a new rearend (and I HAVE to get that first), but I'm greedy thinking maybe I could swing another thousand bucks for heads too.

This hobby is dangerous to one's financial health, unless you're rolling in dough like Nineball.

I am now concerned about the intake port volume, it is stated as 215 but a couple of very knowledgable people have questioned the numbers. Do we know how the flow test was set up, the exhaust numbers are very high and if comparing to say AFR or some other head do we have a comparible test setup?

Does anyone know/have ideas of what kind of power i will make with a 581/572 224/230 cam and these heads? I also have long tubes w/3" y and dynomax bullet, ported stock TB on an LS6 intake. Shooting for 440rwhp. Thanks in advance.

Another entry in the head game
Found this on the profiler site

The Pro-Filer LS6 Cylinder head will be released soon in 3 versions. A 205cc, 225cc and a larger, "mystery" port with a unique shape is coming. This new LS6 head will outperform any other aftermarket cylinder head.
Don't you love it. Get ready to throw away your AFR's and ETP's...lol...

The only reason I questioned the size is by the looks of the pix, the rocker boss and velocity ramp is removed- the rocker boss alone is a pretty good bit of cc in a 243 casting.

BO, I JUST PICKED UP A SET. SEEING THAT THERE ARE SOME AREAS ON THE BOWL/GUIDE THAT HAVE SOME CNC TRACKS, IS IT WORTH THE TIME (DOING IT MYSELF) TO RUN SOME PAPER IN THERE TO SMOOTH/BLEND IT OUT? Also, if i did do this, can I ill effect the performance of the heads? Thanks.
