That is at the rear wheels with a 6 speed. I am guessing with my heavy drivetrain 4L80E, 12 bolt and 18" Z06 rims I will put down in the 440-460 range.

Yea, he must have some major mods to that engine too. 500rwhp with a cam only 346 is pretty impressive to me.

No where on the site does it say "cam only". That is with heads.

This camshaft was not intended for daily driving and I can assure you is not a marketing scheme. I am thinking about going bigger since I have yet to valve notch my pistons. My camshaft has been proven to last, run with the trex and yes I can still drive it on the street if I wanted to. As for going with this camshaft and having heads, I agree this cam might not be for you. There are plenty of guys out there with Heads and Cam that should be able to point you in the right direction. My cam is proven on CAM only and has not been tested with Cylinder Heads.

Thanks,
Joe

This are the specs that I thought you meant. He said 463rwhp w/ cam only. That's a lot more than I'm making with H/C combo. That's funny Joe himself said that it hasn't even been tested with heads. Guess I wasn't too far off.

It was probably ground with the mindset that it would only be used with stock heads for maximum results.

My cam is not Joe Overtons Cam. Mine is my custom grind that is a little larger than the trex but not much. My camshaft was designed only for my car but Overton's camshafts are good grinds.

for all those people that say they wont get a cambecause they dont know the specs, just find someone who has it, get a degree wheel and dial indicator, and figure it out for yourself. then post it so nobodyelse has to go through the trouble. and with either cam, i'd get 4.10's and a looser converter, and you'd be good. i say get the rex killer, btw.

Here is my set up....

Fast 78mm (going to 90/90 set up soon)
EB Porting 5.3 heads (11.3 to 1 compression)
Trex killer cam
4L80E w/ 11" converter (changing out soon)
12 bolt w/ posi and 3.73's

Put down

442 RWHP / 400 RWTQ on a Mustang Dyno (set up for DynoJet numbers)

I think that I will be able to come in around 460-470 with a new 9.5" converter and 90/90 set up.

Most of the numbers you see on the Trex are through 6 speed cars...

I have about as heavy of a drivetrain you can get and from talking to others that is eating up around 15-25 hp alone.
