from my understanding you can just go buy an adjustable plug from the autoparts store, kinda like those expandable freeze plugs. hope that helps

I used 2 spark plug gapping tools, one to cover the hole, and the other with a bolt going through the other at an angle to hold it down. It was ghetto, but it worked well until I put the LS6 on.

If you are talking about the egr hole, there is a specific plug. You can get at the dealership. However, it will not show up in the parts dept. pic, it will be in a note down at the bottom.

You can also put a block off plate on it, but the freeze plug probably seals better.

Just do the freeze plug... Much cheaper and works like a charm. Doesn't look terrible either, it'll just be noticible to anybody that knows what to look for.

It is the 1 7/8" expandable freeze plug. It's cheap and seals better than just about everything else. That's what I used until the new intake. Good Luck.

Don't pound a freeze plug in! You'll get plastic shavings in the intake. Get the 1 7/8" Expansion plug. It has a screw that will make the plug expand to fill the hole completely. It looks like a thick rubber gasket with a metel plate on each end.

ill take the intake off and blow out the shavings. or take off TB and vacuum it out. Is 1 7/8" a tight fit?

So, You'd rather go through the hassle of taking off your intake. Pound on a freeze plug which depth is shorter than an expantion plug and won't give you as good a seal and then blow out the shavings. Or, Use an expantion plug get a good seal from the thicker rubber and spend a total of 20 sec. to install it. ( 10 sec. of that opening up a pop).

Your choice. I know what I'd pick.

The EGR opening is smaller than the 1 7/8" plug. Just put the plug in and start tightening the bolt down. The rubber grommet will start to expanded out and seal the EGR opening.

Mine took 25 sec. I opened a beer instead, and before installing the plug, raced my cousin in downing our beers . I lost, but still got the plug in within 25 sec.

The size is 1 3/8", not 1 7/8. Why screw with anything else when these are $3 and work so well.
