adverage cost of cam install??

how much did yall pay for a cam instillation...I think this guy is trying to rip me off???

I usually do a cam swap for around 350. That's cam, springs, pushrods, and timing chain, add another 30 if you want to swap oil pumps. hell, i'll even swap your plugs for free while I am in there.

I think they decided to rape me because I had bought all my parts through TSP and had them do the install. Big mistake..

My regular cam and spring install is $175 add $75 for chain and pump. But thats just my prices i'm known for having the best prices BAR NONE.

do it yourself? keep the 350 or so and put it toward some other mod? make sure u have a budy and take it slow. my .02 cents

i know vette's are a lil more difficult then an Fbod, b/c the steering rack is in the way of the Crank pulley.

The motor sits farther toward the front as well, which means you would have to remove the radiator and the front of the car to have enough room to access the cam! I would think!!!
