like the title says...how much do u TQ the head bolts?

Just installed a set of heads with the help of a master mechanic. He said that 3 passes at 30 lbft, 50, then 70 will be fine in the proper sequences of course....will it?

If I were to re-trq them all, could I just loosen them all then trq them according to the trq sheet?

The question is not clear, are these stock or ARP bolts. Stock only is tightened to a specified torque on pass one, subsequent passes are to specified rotations not torque values.

The bolts stretch once they reach their rated value so you can't retorque them and expect them to hold up for thousands of miles as I'm guessing you want them to do. You'll need ARPs to be able to get away with that trick. I put whiteout on the NEW bolt heads once I reached the specified torque value then turned them 75 degrees or something close to that in the proper sequence. Look on LS1HowTo. Goober could have gotten it right following those detailed instructions. Pitures and everything, in color too. Dawg gone!

Well, i'm wondering if 70 ftlbs would be close to the final torque value once you do the 90 degree torque to yield. If I'm screwed here, I need to know asap so I can get new head bolts, or if it would be fine to loosen them, and then do the torque to yield because that would yield a higher torque value then 70 ftlbs.
Or, if I should try and turn all the bolts another 90 degrees......anyone know what final torque you'll get from that last pass at 90 degrees on the longer M11 bolts?

you should just remove all bolts and start frm begining w/ new bolts! better safe then sorry. "imo". no qeustion wil be unanswered.

thats what i'm thinking, but i need to get it done tomorrow, so if there is some way to re-trq, or if it will be fine as is, that would be better

If you are using stock bolts, you need to put in new ones and follow the correct sequence. The sequence is also year dependent. My 02 Vette manual has two 90* rotations with the exception of two bolts that are taken to a different rotation on the second pass. If you used stock bolts and tightened to a torque value, don't start the car and re-do the bolts with new ones correctly.
