hope this is the correct thread for this question.
I'm about to perform a head/cam swap. can I or do I need to pour some engine cleaner prior to h/c swap? it's called "B-12 Chemtool" from Berryman. I'm curious cause all pics I have seen from head swap are black and knowing these engines (LS1) are notorious for oil cunsumption and finding oil residue in intake I think it's what is causing pistons to have carbon buildup on top. I know I will need to change oil soon after H/C swap, I'm not worried about cost of oil changes, just wondering if "B-12" can be used on these engines with no ill affect. can says it can be used on ( gas tank, fuel injectors, crankcase.) any input would be appreciated.
thanks
