Stage 1 LS6 heads worth it??
Both Patriot and Livernois have a great deal on LS6 heads right now. Talk about a buyers market.
I'm building a LS6 right now and I'm fortunate enough to live close to Livernois, so I dropped my heads off to them the other day. These 243's will flow good numbers. I'm having the head fully CNC'd and milled then reassebled with TSP double springs and Ti retainers. My intention is to keep air velocity as high as possible within the head. I've taled with all of these guys and you cant go wrong with any of them, just great customer service and the knowledge to go along with it. So get out the credit card and do it!

I wouldn't bother, seems like you're "pushing your luck" as it is.
I admit to not knowing too much about nitrous, but wouldn't the added compression from the LS6 heads be a little more dangerous with that big of a shot of nitrous?

9 second car with stock 10bolt and trans is amazn

What exhaust are you running? THe edelbrock stepped headers with dual 3.5" cutouts should help add some noticabe power.

The 2750lbs for next season shouldn't be too hard (note that's the cars weight with a 1/4 tank, not race weight). The car was 2850 last season. I have done all the usual stuff plus some more extreme stuff. Like cutting 14lbs of wiring out of the stock harness, taking out any unused interior brackets, cut off the front of the frame rails, no power steering, and the list continues. This season I'm addind a pin on hood, K-member, plexi side windows, light weight carpet, 10lbs Kirkey seats, and some other stuff.
