Default Rocker-Arm bolts - It wont come off

I needed to pull my rocker arms off to check my pushrods, and they are on there really good, i know they are torqued right because i've pulled them once and put lock-tite on them and torqued them to 22ft/lbs. I think that the lock-tite just is holding them really well, but now i need to get them off and i dont know how, does anybody have any ideas or suggestions? I was thinking cleaning out the inside of the head real well and using a torch to loosen the lock-tite, but that seems like it would end up badly.

Did you break one? Keep turning until it comes loose. I broke a craftsman 3/8 drive socket wrench pulling mine so they aren't real easy to break loose.

Have you tried using a longer ratchet for more leverage? Just be sure you're using a 6-point socket and not a 12-point one so you don't round the bolt head.

They are on there really tight. I had to put some pretty decent effort into it.

Use the 6 point as well, I was using a 12 point and did round one off. The 6 point is needed.

try using a six point and a small/medium breaker bar. Just make sure that socket is centered on the head of the bolt. I have seen a lot of people round those off.

Which loctite did you use, blue or red. If red, heat may be required to keep from breaking the bolts off in the head.

Why is loctite required? I thought you are not supposed to use anything.

GM makes those bolts as well as the crank and head bolts with the flat washers as part of the bolt head. You put the locktite on the face of the flat washer NOT on the threads themselves. Use a 6 point 3/8ths drive socket and a breaker bar. You can even extend that with a short piece of hollow tubing or pipe. Push down on the breaker bar at the socket and give the breaker bar a HARD, QUICK snap to break the locktite. After that you can turn the bolts out with your fingers.

Not on the rocker arm bolts.
Wouldn't recommend it for this very reason.

Was this red or blue? I am not sure I would attempt to remove without some heat on the red, the stock bolts are not very strong.

It was blue, i used a 12 point, but it started to turn so i stopped, i also broke the adapter that goes from the medium size socket to the smaller, i didnt try any more after that, i dont think i'll be using locktite on the new heads, i just need these rocker arms. I'll go buy a 6 point and see how that goes, i just wanted to make sure they wouldnt break
