Dyno'ed 484/459

Changed from LS6 intake to FAST 90/NW TB

Changed YT 1.8's to stockers decreasing lift from .621/.621 to .588/.588 (.345 base)

Changed from GHL bullets to stock zo6 exhaust

Re-dynoed, 484/459

Where's the power loss? Are you saying that an increase was expected mainly due to the FAST 90 & NW TB? My opinion is that you increased the intake capacity & choked the exhaust equalling the same result. That's if the posted second dyno isn't a typo.

Odd, many say the zo6 flows within a few hp of a 'good' aftermarket exhaust. Thx guys, keep em coming.

The Z06 exhaust hurt the power.Probly 20-25hp.

Also,was the car retuned?

Yes, the car was retuned.

I have dual elec cut-outs I want to install on the car. However, I have a DTE tranny brace, and haven't had any luck so far, with regards to mounting it.

I am guessing you are running a 408?
The FAST had to help, but the drop in lift had to hurt.
Pretty amazing that the numbers stayed the same.
What were you expecting?

I am running an ill-cammed 422.

I was hoping to gain at least 10. A very high % of people said the zo6 exhaust would only loose 5ish rwhp over my GHL's.

I'm wondering how much the decrease in lift hurt.

i went from NO mufflers to the Z06 Ti system when i got my cam, and i still put out 410whp. I dont think the mufflers are costing you more hp than you can count on one hand. Changing the cam is what i think did it. That's a pretty significant drop in lift.

I didn't change the cam, just the ratio of the rockers. Which, decreases duration some too.

That's good news (easy to change). We're @ a fifty-fifty split in the poll. Why not change the rockers back & see what happens?

I changed the rockers because there was valve float up top.

It has to be the lift. There's no way these Catbacks are producing 20-25HP difference. I would have to see that to believe it... LT Headers are only good for that kinda increase or drop in power. I've run XR1 Race pipes, custom made pipes, Borla Stingers and now Z06 mufflers. I'm going to CAM this weekend for a Dyno day and I'll be able to confirm if I gained or lost with just the CATback swap BACK to a Z06 setup... I'm betting I don't see more than 5HP loss, and might see a gain, since I put on a Bassani X over the custom exhaust setup that may have actually hurt exhaust flow... We'll see...
