this might sound dumb, but did you put any kind of RTV sealer or locktite on the intake rocker bolts?with most ported heads they grind away the hump in the intake ports.if you don't seal the rocker bolt, you'll get oil in the ports.but you didn't run the engine that long,so i could be totally wrong on this.

Jeeeeesus. Lithium, you have to figure this out now, you have too much time into it. Just take your time and you will get to the bottom of it.

How did you round the bolt off? You're using 6 point metric sockets right?

Got one of the heads off...gave up on the other till tommarow lol.

But here are some pics - everything looks fine just a lot of build up on the cylinders and valves (only two of them though. The other two are fine)

It all seems like a huge pain. Just keep on plugging away at it. Those look like new heads minus that one cylinder. "yes rod bolt's now!"

take the wood end of a hammer, NOT the metal head end and strike the top of the each piston firmly....they should feel solid as hell no play in the bottom end of the motor....If one of the pistons move AT ALL you just found your knock....

This is going to be a test to see if I left a rod bolt loose? I am guessing? What would it rule out?

Thanks man
