Sounds like oil is getting past the rings when cold (rings seal better when hot) and at WOT.

you might try a catch can or an ls6 valley cover. also check your intake manifold to see if it's covered with oil. the catch can and/or valley cover will help alleviate that problem.

Just thought of something else... oil could be getting down past your valve seats. When it sits for a while and the engine cools, there is more clearance for the oil to get down in there (you say it does it more so when it's cold).

First off, dont rev a cold motor. Youre asking for trouble if you do this.

But I agree that the pistons and rings will have sloppy tolerances until the motor gets up to operating temp.

Not reving a cold motor will probbly stop this if not rings might have been hurt from doing so.

wouldnt it smoke at every wot run all the time if it were the rings im thinking it may be the pcv no smoke out of teh oil cap and it seems to fire fine with normal ls1 oil consumption 1 qt ever 1000-1500 miles
