I just wanted to jump in on this.....my car has 7k on it, I'm doin a heads/cam swat the end of this year....is it worth changing the timing set or even just the chain w/ this kind of mileage?

From my understanding the LS1 chains tend to have a good deal of slack from the factory, w/ a higher ramp rate cam. your going to WANT to use a stronger tighter chain, no need for the sprockets or timing set but you will like the newer chain. Just a thought
