How do you like your hot cam?

You dont state if your an auto or m6.I have an auto and had it tuned on a dyno,so its is pretty dead on.With only the typical cam surge.I think its alot easier on a M6 with no tune. Not sure if your planning a tune, but I wouldnt do an auto without one. There's lots of guys with out tunes and most say they are happy.I couldnt live without the tune.
I'm currently redoing my set up with PP heads and the Crane 1.8 rockers.I mainly went with the 1.8's because I dont want to pull out the cam and to take advantage of the higher lift springs on the new heads.
Bottom line just do alot of research.Weed thru all of the internet BS and do what you think is best for you.Becareful when looking at dynographs esp on the web.Eventually you'll recognize the BS and come to your own conclusions.Sorry for the long winded post,I usually try to steer people from the Hotcam if possible. If your dead set on it,witch I see you listed the 224 as well, like I said earlier research-research-research.A cam for your car is a big investment.
Best of luck with whatever route you go!
The more aggressive rates of the TR224 will give better power under the curve than an otherwise identical cam with slower rates. The lobes used by a TR224 are not unecessarily harsh and you should get a fair number of miles out of Comp 918's.
The benefit of the lower ramp rates is the ability to go virtually indefinately without swapping springs when you run a hotcam and LS6 springs.

Like the others said, you need to look past numbers, they really don't mean as much as you think. It's how the power is applied that matters. blkZ28spt knows what he's talking about. It's whats under the curve that's important.
