Default comp pro magnum rockers

alright so looking for a little bit of input, we installed them to comp's specs with the correct length pushrods and when firing it up seemed that valvetrain noise was way more than usual. After to the comp specs it seemed like there was a little too much play in the rocker at zero lash + the half turn before locking them. then with an additional 1/8 turn (where it felt a little more "normal") noise seemed to go down a fair bit

anyone who has experience with these im looking for how much noise they made for you and if you had any other suggestions for tightening them up properly. thanks
Kevin

Did these fit under your valvecovers ok? Anything special about the install? I'm installing a set of the 1.75's tomorrow.

you installed them incorrectly.

you need to use a dial indicator and do it to the correct measurement after zero lash. Mine was .008-.010" cold or about 1/5th of a turn. My bet is you are way too tight. Did you soak them in oil too?

.008-.010???

That is about the block expansion so you may end up with negative lash?

At 1/2 turn you had about 0.33" for lifter preload. If they are stock lifters, another 1/2 turn may be in order to get them to the stock preload value of 0.060".
