I saw many people talking about the no gain and only whistle and I didn`t feel any diffrence .... the way we do it is have a race with a friend before the mod .... then the same race with the same car... oh and if it`s not an f-body (spins from 0 so it will be from 50 or 80 km/h) then from 0 to at least a 1/2 mile.
and then I'd like to see a race between a yellow painted throttle body and a plain aluminum one. or better yet a comparison between a Tornado and a throttle body spacer.

(Just wondering what will the people that trash it say if they see a dyno chart with a good increase in it)

I just said what I heard from his personal experience with a tb spacer that had the threads.

everybody thinks this is really that funny? and not worth the space in this thread?

Ok, I don't want to be an *** so here's the nice version:
A throttle body spacer is not the kind of mod that you chart results from. Yes it may make a tiny difference; like the EGR tube mod but it's not going to be noticable.

If you really want to see gains from intake swirl, get a Tornado. I have a friend with a Civic who has a Tornado and he can beat almost any stock pickup truck now.

now that`s better

I think I read here that somebody used a tornado and it melted he didn`t recommend it maybe on the civic it`s a bit far from the TB and the engine but on f-bodys it`s close not saying that he`s correct maybe somebody is happy with his I prefer the metal TB Twister ...

I voted yes. I have a 1973 vette that needs power. I am not sure what I will do yet so this will help to decide.

Personally, I dont think it's worth your time. There is already so much info on this site about mods and power avaliability. Just my opinion. I mean, more couldn't hurt, but I think a step by step mod and dyno is really excesive.

Would love to see this done! It would be very hard to do well but would be VERY helpfull.

I have a 2001 with lt headers, ORY, catback, and FIPK (all yet to be installed) and would really like info on a more in-depth build.

Please do it!

Default Mods Experiment

Ready to jump in but I have a couple of questions for the experts : [1] ~ how can patriot sell fully cc'd & complete heads for half the price of AFR"S ? We would all like to see a shoot-out of all the aftermarket heads available for the LS-1 engine , dynoed, using a STOCK motor, before any other mods. [2] ~ of all the headers available which ones offer the most , ( ground clearance for streeters~maximum torque~HP~cost effective ) ? Then we could move on to rocker arm shoot-out. I've read that the gold ones have dynoed over 20HP at the wheels. Of course then there are these spacers ( TB ) . We really need some input as to the validity to some of the claims made by the aftermarket. Someone needs to step up to the plate & let the chips fall where they may. We for sure can't trust the mags , they've sold out to their advertiser's even though they depend on us for their existance.

a tb spacer will work more with the more power you make. it increases plenum volume and sometimes, people dont have enough..so.. they gain power with the spacer. a racer on my local forum gained 32hp on his racecar, simply because he didnt have enough plenum volume to begin with

This would be awesome if you went through with it. I have an 01 SS and a friend of mine has an 02 SS. Both are 90% stock right now, but in the next coming months we are going be doing some modding. This write up would help us out a lot, so plzzzz do it thx.

Yeah I would definitley be interested, it would be great to see how much power each mod gives. You should have poles on what parts to try and what brand. Some track numbers would be cool too.

So when are you gonna start this.
